Strengthening the Region’s Healthcare and Emergency Systems from Within

Recognizing that individuals from disadvantaged regions are more likely to build their lives there, ZAC makes preparing top-quality healthcare professionals a cornerstone of it mission to strengthen the Galilee. By recruiting and training students from the very communities where these professionals are needed most—and equipping them with the cultural and social understandings required to engage with the region’s full diversity—we are improving healthcare access, patient outcomes, and quality of life in Israel’s periphery.

We offer the following health-sciences degrees:

  • B.S.N. and M.S.N. in nursing
  • B.EMS in emergency medicine
  • B.O.T. in occupational therapy
  • B. Optom in optometry
  • B.P.T. and M.P.T. in physical therapy
  • B.Sc in medical laboratory science
  • M.H.M. in health systems management

*We also offer retraining for a B.S.N. in nursing.

Degrees that Work: What Graduates Say

My degree at ZAC was first rate and provided the starting point for a master’s and PhD in medicine. Now, my goal is to complete my doctorate with distinction, so I can teach the next generation as a lecturer in the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences at ZAC.
Talal Salti - B.Sc., Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences
Along with granting me the tools I need, my courses instilled in me the value of human dignity and of communicating with patients with sensitivity.  Along with my work in the field, I’m now considering a master’s in physical therapy at a university.
Yara Awad - B.P.T., Department of Physical Therapy
